I accept e'er used these pumps fro 9.5- 18 for my tanks. Peachy pumps very quiet one time you add together sponge to the lesser.

Advantages: Simple and constructive. Peace of heed. No electronics to fail!!!

Disadvantages: A niggling more expensive to run than equivalent DC pumps.
